BIFAN PRESS

During the festival period, BIFAN will offer to arrange interviews with official festivals guests to members of the domestic and foreign press.

Notice

Please understand that interview requests may be difficult to arrange and interview schedules may suddenly change due to the guests' personal circumstances.
Guests who receive many requests for interviews may hold an informal small-scale press conference instead of a one-on-one interview.

During the festival, BIFAN will provide a space for holders of a press badge or a daily press pass to work on their coverage, the press center.
Desktop computers and LAN connections for writing and posting articles will be available; changes in the screening schedule and other announcements will be posted.

At the video room inside the press center the festival’s main films can be watched during the festival.
Viewing slots are available by visiting the video room. A viewing slot can be up to max. 3 hours long.

PRESS Badge

Press badge holders can participate in various programs for coverage.

Eligibility

Journalists affiliated with domestic or international media outlets (newspapers, TV, magazines, online etc.)
Professional film critics and contributors working for media outlets

Restrictions for badge issuance, individuals that are not eligible to apply for a press badge
Personnel of media outlets that are not directly involved in coverage, such as management or administrative staffs of outsourced companies
One-person media, individual bloggers (creators collaborating with BIFAN will be contacted separately)
Contributors who post or publish on SNS only

Description of service provided

Reserve tickets for same and the text day
- Tickets for 4 different screenings per day (overlapping screening times are excluded)
- Allowed to reserve tickets for general screenings, ‘Odd Family’ section, Master Class
- Please note the badge does not grant access to special screenings/events such as the Opening/Closing Ceremonies or Midnight screenings.

Provision of a guest package and main catalogue (exchange ticket)
- Main catalogue may run out early due to limited edition

Access to the press center incl. video room

Access to BIFAN+ programs and events (except BIFAN+ Conference)
- Media planning to cover the BIFAN+ Conference please contact the publicity team separately.

P&I (Press & Industry) Screenings
- Offline (video room) / online screeners

Access to GVs, Master Class, and other program events following screenings
(Tickets for movie screenings must be booked separately)

Access to guest lounge (free coffee provided)
- The badge is non-transferable and can only be used by the individual it was issued to.
- Ticket and badge must be presented

The proof of journalistic coverage must be a PDF or JPG file of an article that contains the full text, name of media outlet, name of reporter, and the date of publication.
More documentation may be requested for verification purposes.
If you fail to attach evidentiary documentation or image files in which your identity cannot be verified, or do not meet the eligibility criteria, your application may be rejected.

Notice

It is highly recommended to apply for the badge during the pre-registration free of charge
since for on-site registration a fee of 50,000KRW (approx. 36USD) will be charged.
