The 30th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival provides various services
to create a convenient environment for journalists to cover the festival.

Press Service

Press material such as film stills and video clips of festival highlights, photos of official festival events, etc. will be provided.

Guide to Press Coverage

During the festival period, BIFAN will offer to arrange interviews with official festivals guests to members of the domestic and foreign press.

Notice
  • Please understand that interview requests may be difficult to arrange and interview schedules may suddenly change due to the guests' personal circumstances.
  • Guests who receive many requests for interviews may hold an informal small-scale press conference instead of a one-on-one interview.

During the festival, BIFAN will provide a space for holders of a press badge or a daily press pass to work on their coverage, the press center.
Desktop computers and LAN connections for writing and posting articles will be available; changes in the screening schedule and other announcements will be posted.

At the video room the festival’s main films can be watched during the festival.
Viewing slots are available by visiting the video room. A viewing slot can be 3 hours max.

PRESS Badge

Press badge holders can participate in various programs for coverage.

Eligibility
  • Journalists and editorial staff from general and film-related media outlets, including broadcasting companies, newspapers, and magazines
  • Critics and columnists
  • Restrictions for badge issuance, individuals that are not eligible to apply for a press badge
  • Personnel of media outlets that are not directly involved in coverage, such as management or administrative staffs of outsourced companies
  • One-person media, individual bloggers (creators collaborating with BIFAN will be contacted separately)
  • Contributors who post or publish on SNS only
Benefits

  • Ticket Reservations

    • Entitled to reserve up to 4 film tickets per day
    • Reservations can only be made for films screening on the same day or the following day.
    • Cannot reserve two or more tickets for the same time slot.
    • Eligible to reserve tickets for general screenings, master class, mega talk.
    • Please note the badge does not grant access to special screenings/events such as the opening ceremony, midnight screenings or free screenings.

  • Guest Package

    • Entitled to receive the Guest Package.

  • Access to the Press Center and Video Room

  • Access to BIFAN+ Programs and Events (except AI Conference)

    • Admission to BIFAN+ programs and events.
    • Members of the press who want to cover the AI Conference please contact the publicity team.

  • Access to Program Events

    • Admission to post-screening events such as Guest Visits (GV), subject to seat availability. (A separate ticket is required to watch the film.)

  • BIFAN Guest Lounges

    • Access to BIFAN Guest Lounges.
    • The badge is non-transferable and must only be used by the individual it was issued to.
    • For entering the screening, you have to present your ticket and badge.
    • Badges not received will be discarded immediately after the festival ends. Applicants who have not have picked up their badge will not be able to receive a badge the following year.

    • Evidence of coverage means a PDF or JPG file of an article with the full text, media name, reporter name, and publication date.
    • Additional documentation may be requested for verification purposes. Approval may be refused if supporting documents are not attached or provided, an unidentified photo is used, or the applicant does not meet eligibility criteria.
Notice
  • The application for a badge cannot be modified online after the pre-registration deadline. Please contact the accreditation manager(foreignpress@bifan.kr) if you encounter any problems.
  • Save the dates! Once Pre-Registration closes, On-site Registration (USD 50.00) will be the only option.

PRESS-Online

Description of service provided
  • Press badge for international journalists unable to attend BIFAN 2026 in person.
  • Access to Online Screenings. (online screeners of most major movies screening at BIFAN 2026).
  • Set up online interviews with selected festival guests.
